White stretch marks: many remedies but the most effective is prevention

Hit by white stretch marks? Bad deal. Eliminating white stretch marks is not a snap, and it may be necessary to resort to cosmetic surgery. Much better to prevent them.

The white stretch marks become such when they are now real scars. The stretch mark is a laceration of the skin, which in most cases is red at first and then healed, becoming white.

There are also areas and people subject to white stretch marks without going through red ones, especially in certain parts of the body: breast stretch marks are often of this type, as are most people (men and women) in the arms.

White stretch marks may occur during adolescence, during pregnancy, or following a sudden change in weight (increase or decrease), in all those cases in which the skin is subjected to stress and cannot keep up. Hormonal as well as genetic factors can also influence the formation of stretch marks.

In fact, it is shown that, for example, women suffering from stretch marks during pregnancy have relatives who suffer from the same pathology. In short, it seems that the elasticity of the skin is hereditary.

Even taking certain medications can inhibit the skin’s elasticity and promote the formation of stretch marks like steroids. This explains why even though they do a lot of physical activity and drink lots of fluids, bodybuilding enthusiasts are often subject to the formation of white stretch marks.

Once formed, the stretch marks are difficult to erase, especially the white ones that are now real scars. But some preventative remedies can help us make them less evident if not best to make them disappear altogether. The first rule is certainly to hydrate, not only with the use of oil or cream for white stretch marks but also by drinking plenty of water, at least 2 liters per day.

In fact, skin hydration also passes through our bodies. Obviously, it is a good practice to moisturize the skin even with special oils massaging them carefully every time you take a bath. Any moisturizer will help in the purpose, but if white stretch marks are obvious, it is better to use specific creams.

White stretch marks: the remedies

Once formed, as we have already pointed out, treating white stretch marks is not easy. Most of the time, you have to resort to the surgeon’s help and undergo more or less invasive treatments to solve the problem.

We see a rundown of remedies for stretch marks:

Filler: thanks to a tiny needle, the doctor in an authorized clinic will inject small doses of collagen that will fill the groove left by the stretch marks bringing the skin back to its natural state.

It is not a system that offers immediate results, several sessions are necessary before being satisfied, but it is certainly a remedy to be taken into consideration.

Laser: thanks to the laser’s pulsed light, the first layer of the skin is destroyed and eliminated. In essence, the scar is burned and then medicated to make sure that the skin reforms naturally by making the stretch mark disappear.

Surgery: it is possible to remove the damaged part of the skin by surgically waiting for it to grow tense and healthy. Sometimes there is a real block call excision in which all the damaged skin is eliminated and replaced with healthy skin taken from other parts of the body. This is an operation that is performed in extreme cases and valid for the abdomen.

There is also the light version of this intervention, which involves eliminating small parts of the skin and important sections compared to single stretch marks. Also, light intervention is dedicated to the abdomen.
